Financial Stability, Gambling Literacy, and Mental Health

On October 5-6, 2025, the 26th ICRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction concluded in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kindbridge’s Daniel Umfleet (view bio) was featured as a keynote speaker. Within “Mind, Money, and Risk: Reframing Gambling as a Public Health Issue”, Daniel discussed the critical need to reframe financial stress as a public health metric. The discussion provided an overview of how doing so will help stakeholders better manage gambling’s impact on the wellness of America’s casino gaming, sports betting, trading, and lottery playing population.

The entire transcript of Daniel Umfleet’s keynote speech has been provided for reference, right here. Meanwhile, a summary has also been provided as a PowerPoint presentation which we have uploaded to our YouTube channel for public and educator consumption.
